Dutch Church Start Sunday Chamber Music Matinee

Warm welcome for September! As autumn arrives, we start with a Sunday Matinee Chamber Music Concert – Baritone Quirijn de Lang and Pianist Daan Boertien on Sunday, September 15th at 2 PM (doors open 1:30 PM). Enjoy a performance by renowned Dutch baritone Quirijn de Lang & pianist Daan Boertien.
Quirijn has an extensive career internationally and in the UK: Opera North, Welsh National Opera, Garsington, Grange Park Opera, and ENO. He will sing the lead role of Samuel Cooper in the first-ever full recording of Kurt Weill’s Love Life.
Daan collaborated with internationally celebrated singers like Benjamin Appl, Roderick Williams, and Thomas Oliemans. Daan recently displayed his talent at the Grachtenfestival (Dutch Canal Festival) and the Wonderfeel classical music festival in the Netherlands, he performed at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam last weekend.
The programme will include such greats as Schumann, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff, evoking the universal emotions of homesickness, nostalgia and the search for a new place to call home.
